摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a radiation amount measurement apparatus for determining an existence area of a radioactive substance to be measured while considering the influence of a radiation amount (background radiation amount) from the natural world in radiation amount measurement utilizing an imaging plate, and quantitatively calculating a radiation amount of the determined area. <P>SOLUTION: A threshold is set in the predetermined number of pixels of background radiation amount image data, and an area in which pixels of the radiation amount image data exceeding the threshold are continued over the predetermined number of pixels and more is determined as an existence position of the radioactive substance. The threshold is set as a value including 99% (to 99.9%) of pixels in the background radiation amount image data, and the area determined as the existence position of the radioactive substance is an area in which 40 pixels and more are continued. The radiation amount of the radioactive substance is calculated from a relational expression obtained by using a representative one-spot sample.
