<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preserve boiled brown seaweed in salt without unevenness for a short time. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a salt water tank 1 with opened upper part; a pump 9 which attracts salt water 2 in the tank; and a water spray pipe 19 which sprinkles salt water sent from the pump to water surface of the tank from above, and further includes a jet pipe 17 for injecting the salt water sent from the pump at the bottom of the tank and agitating the salt water in the tank. A part of the wall of the tank is formed with a perforated plate 3a, and the porous wall part is enclosed with a wall panel 5 from outside and a refilling space 7 of salt is formed, and the salt water sent from the pump is introduced there.
