<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a generation of chips, a change in color of pellets, moisture adsorption of pellets, and a froth generation to manufacture pellets. <P>SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing pellets uses a pellet cooling device 4 satisfying the following conditions of (a)-(e), and includes the process of cooling pellets, in which an outlet temperature of the pellet cooling device is 50-120°C. (a) The entry side and the outlet side have dams 21-23 of a height of 4-50 mm. (b) The movement of pellets is conducted by an oscillating system. (c) A cooling part is provided between dams, and in the cooling part, the cooling of pellets is performed by a gas which is a cooling medium. (d) The gas which is the cooling medium is supplied from a lower direction of the pellet cooling device 4 to an upper direction. (e) The pellets are made to be supplied to the upstream side of the entry side dam 21 from a pelletizer outlet, the pellets get over the entry side dam 21, move on the cooling part at the height of 2-40 mm, and get over the outlet side dam 22 to be discharged from the pellet cooling device 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
