摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage device with high discharge capacity and high energy density. <P>SOLUTION: A power storage device comprises a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material on a positive electrode current collector and a negative electrode facing the positive electrode via an electrolyte. The positive electrode active material includes a first region with a film shape formed of a compound including lithium and nickel, and a second region with a film shape formed of a compound including one or more of lithium, iron, manganese, and cobalt and excluding nickel. The first region is covered with the second region. When a surface layer part of the positive electrode active material is formed using the region excluding nickel, nickel is not in contact with the electrolyte. Therefore, the onset of catalytic effects of nickel can be suppressed and high discharge potential of nickel can be utilized. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
