<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mycolic acid analysis method and device capable of performing evaluation and analysis easily by displaying the data obtained by analyzing mycolic acid in a specific display mode.SOLUTION: The mass spectrometry data of subclass mycolic acids constituting mycolic acid is acquired by a mass spectroscope. On the basis of this mass spectrometry data, information for display pertaining to the indexes indicating a volume, the total number of carbons, the number of oxygen atoms, and an unsaturation degree about each subclass mycolic acid is acquired. In a two-dimensional display area consisting of axes X and Y, in which the axis X represents the total number of carbons and the axis Y is divided into sections in accordance with the number of oxygen atoms, each section is further divided into subsections in accordance with the index indicating the unsaturation degree, a pixel indicating each subclass mycolic acid is displayed at a coordinate position designated by the position of the axis X determined by the total number of carbons in the information for display of each subclass mycolic acid and the position of the axis Y determined by the indexes indicating the number of oxygen atoms and the unsaturation degree in the information for display.</p> |
