<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the temperature of an engine room without wasting a battery or fuel while the engine is stopped. <P>SOLUTION: A cooling device 12 of a hydraulic shovel 1 includes an engine cover 10 that can be opened and closed, in an engine room 8 of an upper rotator 3. The engine cover 10 is connected to a winding roller 17 of an electric motor 16 disposed outside the engine room 8 through a wire 14. The cooling device includes: a temperature sensor 20 detecting the temperature in the engine room 8; and a controller 18 that drives the electric motor 16 to open the engine cover 10 when the temperature in the engine room 8 is high at a predetermined temperature or higher. When the temperature in the engine room 8 is high while the engine is stopped, the electric motor 16 pulls the wire 14 to open the engine cover 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
