The spinning station, to produce a wound yarn bobbin, has a stripping rail (11) with an upper (14) and lower (19) profile. The upper profile (14) has a pressure strip (16) and the lower profile a stripping edge (22) towards the remaining yarn length from the wound yarn reserve. The gap (1) between the pressure strip (16) and stripping edge (22) is 5-15 mm.
