<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of easily adjusting positions of one end portion of a heating rotor and one end portion of an external heat source. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: a heating rotor 9a which is rotatable about a first rotational axis and having a peripheral surface to be heated; a pressure rotor which is rotatable about a second rotational axis parallel to the first rotational axis and forms a fixing nip in a space with the heating rotor 9a; an a position adjusting section 500 which is so arranged as to come close to or come in contact with the peripheral surface of the heating rotor 9a inside a body of an image forming apparatus and outside the heating rotor 9a in order to adjust a position of one end portion in an axial direction of the first rotational axis while adjusting a position of one end portion in an axial direction of an external heating mechanism section 410.
