<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible printed circuit (FPC) board connector and an FPC which allows insertion/extraction of the FPC without applying excessive stress. <P>SOLUTION: A housing 2 which has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape has a pair of right and left side locks 6 including corners 6-b which engage with projections 9-a of an FPC 9. Each of the side locks is rotatably attached to the housing via an opening/closing shaft 10. When the FPC is inserted, oblique sides of the projections abut against the respective corners of the side locks. As the FPC is inserted deeper inside, the side locks open outward around the opening/closing shaft when they are pushed by the projections. When the FPC is completely inserted, the corners of the side locks engage with respective corners of the projections of the FPC so that the side locks lock the FPC from both sides. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
