PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start re-associating a WTRU from a certain AP to another AP, without performance deterioration.

SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for moving a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) from a first access point (AP) using a first set of communication parameters to a second AP using a second set of communication parameters. The method includes the steps of: receiving from the first AP using the first set of communication parameters a move request message containing an identifier of the second AP, the second set of communication parameters and a time at which moving to the second AP is performed; determining whether to move to the second AP on the basis of the move request message; and resetting communication with the second AP using the second set of communication parameters in accordance with a determination to move to the second AP.
