<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion-generating member for readily making a normal toothbrush into an ion-generating toothbrush, and to provide an ion-generating toothbrush configured such that even if the ion-generating toothbrush is exhausted, it is easily and inexpensively restored like a new one. <P>SOLUTION: The ion-generating member 14 for a toothbrush includes a thin base material removably mounted near a bristled portion of a tooth brush body 11, and ion-generating material powder contained in the base material. The base material of the ion-generating member 14 has a form of elastic tube, and elastically mounted around the toothbrush body 11.
