PURPOSE: A solar battery and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to minimize damage of a passivation thin film due to an electrode, thereby suppressing annihilation by carrier recombination. CONSTITUTION: A semiconductor substrate(100) in which a junction surface of an n-type impurity doping area(102) and p-type impurity doping area(101) is arranged is prepared. An anti-reflection film(200) is arranged on at least one surface of the semiconductor substrate. A first electrode(300) is arranged in the upper part of the anti-reflection film. A second electrode(400) is arranged on the first electrode. The first electrode is connected to the semiconductor substrate through a punch-through phenomenon which selectively penetrates the anti-reflection film.
