CHARGING AND DISCHARGING EQUALIZATION CONTROL METHOD FOR POWER BATTERY PACK

a charging and discharging equalization control method for a power battery pack. The method includes the following steps. the battery pack is charged. When a single battery satisfies a full charging condition, the charging process is ended. The voltage of each single battery is sampled. if there is a single battery of which the voltage is out of a full charging region, the present average voltage of the battery pack is computed and the single battery of which the voltage is higher or lower than the average voltage is recorded as an equalization object. When the battery pack is re-charged, a discharging equalization mode is used to the recorded single battery with a higher voltage to perform equalization and a charging equalization mode is used to the recorded single battery with a lower voltage to perform equalization. The method can shorten equalization time, improve equalization efficiency and reduce energy consumption of an equalization circuit effectively.
