<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a display system capable of performing display processing by synchronizing with operation of an imaging apparatus while suppressing an increase of a transmission data amount. <P>SOLUTION: An ID detection circuit 18 measures reception timing of a specific packet of transmitted data. The ID detection circuit 18 determines a reception state of the specific packet and also determines whether to use the reception timing according to the determined result.
