PURPOSE: A coffee roaster and an operating method thereof are provided to operate a blower, a heating unit, a cooling unit, and a separator with one driving motor. CONSTITUTION: A coffee roaster comprises the following: a body(11) forming a frame of the roaster; a heating unit(20) for drying, and firstly and secondly crashing green coffee bean, located on one upper side of the body; a cooling unit(50) cooling the coffee beans discharged from the heating unit; a driving unit operating the heating unit, the cooling unit, and a separator; the separator(80) separating solid particles in gas by the difference of the particle size or the specific gravity; and a controller controlling the entire operation of the coffee roaster. |
