The separator has a housing (21) comprising an inlet (22) and an outlet (23) between which two paths (24, 26) are formed. The paths connect the inlet and the outlet with each other via a filter (25) and a hole (27) respectively, where pressure loss of one of the paths is adjusted such that it is lower than that of the other path. The filter is arranged in the former path, where a part of the filter is arranged in surroundings of a downstream outlet of the hole and turned toward the hole as an impact element (25c).
