During reception, when a flow control frame is received, if the stop time information contained in the frame requests stopping for equal to or more than a predetermined time period, electric power control is performed so that electric power control can be performed without damaging communication performance. Further, when the flow control frame is received, if a flag contained in the frame is set, the physical layer device remains in the low power consumption mode after the transmission stop time has passed, so as to perform effective electric power control.</p> |
