摘要 The method involves recognizing an environment on detection of echoes of an environmental sensor based on reflected ultrasonic waves on objects. One of the echoes is interpreted as a low obstruction based on a measuring position (1). The echoes are received as high obstruction based on another measuring position (2). The low obstruction is interpreted as an over-movable curb (B). The high obstruction is interpreted as a non over-movable object i.e. non over-movable curb. Depth of a parking space (PL) is defined at a preset distance from the curb. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for supporting parking of a motor vehicle (2) a park assistance system for a motor car, comprising an environment sensor system.
