PURPOSE: A method for displaying simple smart grid information in a digital TV and the digital TV using the same are provided to induce the energy saving of a user by enabling the user to easily grasp an energy use pattern and energy consumption. CONSTITUTION: Power related information of a smart grid operating server is stored in a storage unit(S21). A widget is set according to simple information item related to the selected smart grid(S23). A widget icon is displayed in a display unit(S25). If a preset execution command about the widget icon is received, the set smart grid information is displayed in the display unit(S27).
