An S1 handover method, data transmission method and mobile communication system are provided by this invention. In the technical solution of this invention, after receiving the handover request, a source side mobile management entity sends a message for stopping sending data to a source side service gateway; after receiving the message for stopping sending data, the source side service gateway stops sending data to the source side evolution base-station and buffers the data; after receiving the transmission re-location response, the source side mobile management entity configures a transmission tunnel between the source side service gateway and the destination side service gateway, and the source side service gateway sends the buffered data to the destination side evolution base-station via the transmission tunnel and the destination side service gateway. With the technical solution of this invention, the process of retransmitting data from the source side evolution base-station to the source side service gateway is omitted, and the resources of establishing and releasing a tunnel for transmitting data between the source side evolution base-station and the source side service gateway are saved. The efficiency of data transmission is improved. |
