<p>The disclosed video reproduction system is provided with: a video reception terminal (6) that generates first quality information, and quality control information based thereon, for reproducing a degraded video played on a user side from a video stream distributed via an external network (3) and a home network (5); a home gateway device (4) that, on the basis of the quality control information, generates second quality information for reproducing a virtual degraded video from which the effects of quality degradation due to the home network (5) are removed; and a quality management system (8). The quality management system (8): uses the first quality information along with an original video stream, from before distribution via the external network (3), to reproduce the degraded video played on the user side; and uses the original video stream along with the second quality information to reproduce the virtual degraded video.</p> |
