The device (115) has a memory (264) providing instructions to be executed by a processor (262), where the instructions receive events generated by a user from a set of computing devices connected to an access point. The instructions generate a session fingerprint using the received events to a subscriber identifier and associated session identifiers and store a record of a set of user characteristics (266) including the generated fingerprint, identifier of set of associated user characteristics and the subscriber identifier.
