<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple contamination evaluation method of a separation membrane, and to provide a separation membrane operation management method and a filtering device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A web 2 is carried, while the web 2 is wound on a washing roller 5 to which washing liquid is supplied to a surface thereof, through a liquid film formed on the washing roller 5, so as to control a circumferential velocity of the washing roller 5 and a carrying velocity of the web 2 to be different from each other. Thereby, a thin liquid film having a liquid current with high velocity gradient is easily formed between the washing roller 5 and the web 2.
