<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recommend to a user information corresponding to the state of a navigation device. <P>SOLUTION: A navigation device 1 of a navigation system 100 transmits to a server device 4 user information at least including information associated with properties of a user, information associated with a position of the navigation device, information associated with an operation state of the navigation device, and information associated with a setting state of the navigation device. The server device 4 computes a coefficient of correlation between the user information transmitted from the navigation device 1 and history information stored in a history information database 42, acquires recommendation information based upon the coefficient of correlation from a recommendation information database 43, and transmits it to the navigation device 1.
