PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a large color shift when a color reproduction image is generated from a multi-band image of four or more channels.

SOLUTION: An image processing device for generating a color reproduction image under a predetermined illumination environment from a multiband image obtained by imaging a subject with a camera comprises: spectral reflectance estimating means which is supplied with a spectral reflectance estimating matrix obtained from spectral sensitivity information of the camera, spectral distribution information of illumination light when photographing and statistical information of the subject, and a pixel value of a white point on the multiband image to calculate a spectral reflectance of the white point; spectral reflectance estimating matrix correcting means for correcting the spectral reflectance estimating matrix on the basis of the spectral reflectance of the white point; spectral reflectance image generating means for generating a spectral reflectance image after white balance adjustment on the basis of the corrected spectral reflectance estimating matrix; and color reproduction processing means for generating a color reproduction image under a predetermined illumination environment from the spectral reflectance image.
