<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise in a reception local signal. <P>SOLUTION: The radio device comprises: a signal generator to generate a transmission local signal; a phase shifter which generates and outputs two carriers crossing orthogonally to each other based on the transmission local signal; an I/Q signal generator which maps an input data column into a symbol and generates and outputs a first and second base band signals corresponding to the symbol; a quadrature modulator which modulates each of the two carriers by the first and the second base band signals and generates and outputs a first IF signal based on the two modulated carriers; and a frequency converter which converts one of the first or a second IF signals into a signal in an RF band and outputs it.
