<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup disposal device for a cup-type vending machine capable of ensuring the disposal of a cup containing a beverage, which is left in a commodity outlet port, and preventing the beverage in the cup from highly spattering when the cup is disposed of. <P>SOLUTION: In a cup disposal device for a cup-type vending machine, when a cup C carried in a commodity outlet port 5 is left, the cup C is taken out from the commodity outlet port 5 and disposed of. When the cup C is disposed of, a cup holder 22 is moved to the vicinity of a cup contacting plate 45 and the cup holder 22 is moved in a predetermined direction while the cup C held by the cup holder 22 contacts the cup contacting plate 45, thereby the cup C is dropped on a front tray 39a.
