<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water damage testing method of a gas sensor, which allows an experiment to be performed by supplying condensed water of which the amount is suitable for actual conditions. <P>SOLUTION: A preparatory step of setting a water storing operation time for which condensed water should be stored is executed before a main step of actually storing condensed water in an exhaust pipe 55 and spraying the condensed water to a gas sensor 1. In the preparatory step, an engine 53 is started when a wall surface temperature of the exhaust pipe 55, an exhaust gas temperature, and a cooling water temperature are reduced to -25°. Here, the engine 53 is idled for a prescribed time. During the idling, a dew point arrival time in which the wall surface temperature of the exhaust pipe 55 arrives at a dew point after the start of the engine 53 is measured, and a range within the dew point arrival time is set as the water storing operation time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
