<p>Provided is a computer system, wherein maintenance of an environment in which a host-based replication and an array-based replication are used in parallel can be achieved. First, data in a first storage area is copied to a second storage area, using an array-based replication engine. In this case, the result of the execution of the replication is administered by setting up a flag that indicates the point of time of the copying. Data in the first storage area is also copied to a third storage area using a host-based replication engine, and data in the third storage area is further copied to a fourth storage area. Then, upon restoring data in the second storage area to the first storage area, data in the fourth storage area is returned to the third storage area so that the time stamp of the third storage area will become the same as that of the second storage area.</p> |
