<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrolytic solution for a lithium ion battery containing lithium hexafluorophosphate as an electrolyte, and to provide a lithium ion battery using the same. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for manufacturing an electrolytic solution for a lithium ion battery with lithium hexafluorophosphate as an electrolyte, phosphorous trichloride, chlorine and lithium chloride are made to react in a nonaqueous organic solvent, and then a reaction product produced in the solvent is made to react with hydrogen fluoride, and further non-reacted hydrogen fluoride is made to react with lithium chloride. The method includes the steps of: reacting non-reacted hydrogen fluoride with lithium chloride; being separated into a filtered liquid and a solid residue; obtaining the filtered liquid as an electrolytic solution for a lithium ion battery; reacting the solid residue with phosphorus trichloride and chlorine in a nonaqueous organic solvent; reacting a reaction product produced in the solvent with hydrogen fluoride; and reacting the non-reacted hydrogen fluoride with lithium chloride to manufacture the electrolytic solution for the lithium ion battery. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
