Disclosed are a hearing aid, signal processing method and program that make it easier for a hearing aid user to hear the sound of a TV when wishing to watch TV, and to hear a person's voice when wishing to speak to the person. The hearing aid (100) is equipped with: a unit for detecting speech from other people (150), which uses detected sound source direction information, spontaneous speech detection results, and TV sound detection results to detect the speech of speakers other than the person wearing the hearing aid; and a unit for calculating the frequency of each sound source (160), which uses the spontaneous speech detection results, TV sound detection results, other speakers' speech detection results, and sound source direction information to calculate the frequency of each sound source. A scene differentiation unit (170) uses the sound source direction information and the frequency for each sound source to differentiate between a "conversation scene", "TV viewing scene", and "conversation and TV viewing scene". An output sound control unit (180) controls the sonority of the hearing aid (100) according to the assessed scene.
