Embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of information security. Provided are a method and system for file protection. The method comprises: replacing the original file header of a file-to-be-protected with a secure file header, and converting the file-to-be-protected into a secure file; using the secure file header of the secure file to block other external devices from accessing the content of the secure file. By means of the present invention, in a computer or a terminal device such as an Android cell phone, files such as a multimedia file can be protected without hindering normal use by a user, disallowing the content of protected secure files on a cell phone to be opened on other machines, thereby achieving the goals of preventing personal information from being leaked and protecting personal privacy. |
