摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform improvement of laser exposure accuracy, precise control of exposure dot position, and reduction in exposure deviation, and to provide a tandem full-color printer that does not have a no fθlens. SOLUTION: A laser exposure apparatus is equipped with means 21, 41 for generating a pulse signal VCLK of a frequency corresponding to frequency-designating data NLD; a means 46 for generating pixel clock PCLK of a phase specified by phase designating data DPHASE in the integer multiples of the period of the pulse signal; a memory 77 for holding the frequency designating data NLD and the phase-designating data DPHASE for the purpose of converting the constant angular velocity laser scanning of a polygon mirror to a constant velocity transfer along the line of the on-line exposure dot; means 72-76 for switching/reading data from the memory, corresponding to the on-line exposure scanning; and a laser drive circuit 23 for controlling the light emission of a laser light source, according to image DATA in synchronism with the pixel clock.
