Heavy duty vehicle with flywheel accumulator drive

The vehicle (1) has an electric motor driving center lines (2a, 2b) of the vehicle and supplied with electric energy from first and second generators (5a, 5b). An internal combustion engine (7) i.e. gas engine, drives a third generator (5c) that generates electric energy to charge flywheel mass accumulators (6a, 6b). The first and second generators rotationally drive a flywheel mass of the flywheel mass accumulators. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a heavy duty vehicle.
