FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing 2,3-dimethyl-2,3-dinitrobutane via nitration of tetramethylethylene with nitrogen tetraoxide in ethyl acetate medium or tetrachloromethane. The disclosed method enables to obtain 2,3-dimethyl-2,3-dinitrobutane with higher output than in the existing analogue method, where the reaction is carried out at low temperature in diethyl ether medium. ^ EFFECT: method enables to avoid use at low temperatures of minus 16 to minus 20C and carry out said reaction at temperature 20-60C, which considerably simplifies the process of obtaining 2,3-dimethyl-2,3-dinitrobutane. ^ 2 cl, 5 ex, 2 tbl |
