FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an improved method of producing betulinol diacetate from birch bark (outer layer of birch bark). Betulinol diacetate (C34H54O4) is a biologically active substance which has anti-tumour activity, hepatoprotector, hypolipidemic and choleretic action and is of great interest in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.
