摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excitation power supply for a superconducting magnet capable of restoring a normal state (state where short-circuit has not occurred) promptly after that (after power restoring in the case of a power failure) even in the case where both ends of an output of the excitation power supply have been short-circuited due to wrong detection of abnormal conditions such as quench/internal abnormalities/instantaneous drop of an original power source, or even in the case of occurring of a power failure of the original power source. <P>SOLUTION: An excitation power supply 101 comprises: a power source 1; a power unit 3; a protection circuit 16 making a protection state by closing a contact 4a to short-circuit both ends of an output of a power unit 3 in the case of detecting an anomaly of a superconducting magnet 2; and a first shunt resistance 5 that detects a current value within a loop A. The excitation power supply 101 is provided with a restoring circuit 31 which opens the contact 4a and restores the protection state after making an output current value of the power unit 3 equal to a current value flowing through a superconducting coil 2L using a detection value of the first shunt resistance 5 and a second shunt resistance 8 in the case where the contact 4a is closed with a protection relay 4 operated by the protection circuit 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
