摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite in which 100 nm or less-sized metal oxide nanoparticles are supported by carbon in a highly dispersed manner. <P>SOLUTION: A composite powder in which a precursor of metal oxide nanoparticles is supported by carbon in a highly dispersed manner is subjected to rapid heating treatment in a nitrogen atmosphere, thereby advancing the crystallization of the metal oxide and allowing the metal oxide nanoparticles to be supported by carbon in a highly dispersed manner. The precursor of the metal oxide nanoparticles and the carbon nanoparticles, which support the precursor, are prepared by means of the mechanochemical reaction produced by applying sheer stress and centrifugal force to a reactant in a whirling reactor. Preferably, the rapid heating treatment in a nitrogen atmosphere is performed at 400 to 1,000&deg;C. The heated composite is then crushed to eliminate the aggregation thereof, thereby homogenizing the dispersion degree of the metal oxide nanoparticles. Manganese oxide, lithium iron phosphate, or lithium titanate may be used as the metal oxide. A carbon nanofiber or Ketjen black may be used as the carbon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
