<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transaction machine without costly parts with which the prevention of fire, at its bill insertion slit, is ensured as for the automatic transaction machines including automated teller machines, etc. with which there is the risk of fire occurrence caused due to a flammable object inserted into the bill insertion slit. <P>SOLUTION: An automatic transaction machine 1 for processing a specific transaction with bills inserted into a bill insertion slit 11 includes a temperature sensor 2 for detecting a temperature at the bill insertion slit 11 in where the bills are inserted. When the temperature sensor 2 detects an abnormal value for the temperature at the bill insertion slit 11, a bill press 3 having a heat resistant material 3a on its pressing surface presses an inserted object and puts out the fire caused by the object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
