<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that allows ozone and an odorous component generated at image forming to be efficiently eliminated from air which will be discharged to the outside of a housing. <P>SOLUTION: A laser printer (image forming apparatus) 1 includes an image forming device 4 and a fixing device 6 in a body housing 2. A mixing space M is formed between the image forming device 4 and the fixing device 6 by multiple partition walls 70 including a first partition wall 71 and a second partition wall 72. When an air discharge fan 90 is driven, a first gas O containing ozone is made to flow through a first introduction port 75 formed on an upper end of the first partition wall 71 on the side of the image forming device 4, and introduced to the inside of the mixing space M along the partition walls 70 located on an upper surface of the mixing space M. At the same time, a second gas V containing VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) is made to flow through a second introduction port 76 which is formed, along the bottom surface of the first partition wall 71, on the partition walls 70 making up the bottom surface of the mixing space M, and introduced to the inside of the mixing space M along the first partition wall 71. Air containing the first gas O and the second gas V is discharged, flowing as swirling in the mixing space M, by the air discharge fan 90 to the outside of the body housing 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
