<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting change method and a setting change system capable of changing internal setting of an electronic apparatus, such as firmware update and setting change, without unpacked operation even on a way of distribution. <P>SOLUTION: When it is necessary to change a setting change itself of a BD player 3, a reader/writer 2 performs non-contact communication with the BD player 3 having power supply turned off and transmits information to change the setting of the BD player 3. The BD player 3 receives setting change information, and the information is stored in an internal memory 313 of a non-contact IC 31.
