PURPOSE: A polymer composite comprising plated carbon fiber for manufacturing a bipolar plate of a fuel cell is provided to control the thickness of a bipolar plate and facilitate molding, thereby manufacturing on a large scale. CONSTITUTION: A polymer composite comprising plated carbon fiber for manufacturing a bipolar plate of fuel cell comprises carbon fiber and a thermosetting resin or thermoplastic resin. The carbon fiber is plated by a transition metal selected from nickel, copper, and silver on the surface thereof. The volumetric resistance of the carbon fiber is 1.0 × 1.0 × 10^(-6) ~ 1.0 × 10^(-3) ohm·cm at 25°C. The thermosetting resin is one or more selected from an epoxy resin, a phenol resin, a melamine resin and a vinylether resin. The thermoplastic resin is one or more selected from polyphenylene sulfide, polyvinylidene fluoride, polyamide, PBT(polybutylene terephthalate), polyimide, a liquid-crystalline polymer, polybenzimidazole, and polyetheretherketone. |
