<p>PURPOSE: An LED driver and a control method thereof are provided to simplify a power level circuit by eliminating output electric capacity and a rectifier diode and to permanently maintain the conversion frequency of a control signal. CONSTITUTION: An output terminal(OUT) provides an LED current to an LED route. The LED current comprises a ripple component and a direct-current component. A first circuit is used for obtaining a first signal which is marked as the LED current. A second circuit generates a second signal which is the direct-current component of the first signal by processing the first signal. The second circuit is connected to the first circuit and comprises a low pass filter which creates the second signal by filtering the first signal. A power stage is connected to the output terminal and controls the LED current in order to match with the second signal.</p> |
