PURPOSE: An adaptive streaming method based on plural factors which determine the quality of content and apparatus thereof are provided to construct an adaptive streaming system by performing adaptive streaming according to streaming environment. CONSTITUTION: A file including media data information is received from a server(210). The media data is received based on the media data file(220). The file includes frame rates about plural media data. The file includes first tags including one or more bits about the media data. The first tags include the resolution data of the media. The frame rate about the media data is included in the first tags.
