FIELD: gas and oil production. ^ SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in gathering oil flown out of emergency oil pipeline by means of oil-retaining hydro-phobic sorbent with density lower, than water density. A trench of the oil pipeline or the oil pipeline proper are closed with a cover of polymer fibrous sorbent. Width of the cover exceeds width of the trench of diametre of the pipe. Length of the cover exceeds length of a crossing. The cover is pressed down with loads weight of which eliminates surfacing at saturation with oil to a specified level. ^ EFFECT: efficient protection from oil outflow at occurrence of emergency situation in under-water oil pipeline. ^ 1 dwg
