<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problems: in a conventional cartridge, it is impossible to instantly release a thermal-expansion air pressure in the ink cartridge, caused by a rapid change in temperature, then, ink leaks from an ink discharge port. <P>SOLUTION: The ink cartridge includes: an atmospheric releasing port; the ink discharge port; and ink storage chambers for storing ink. A space is formed in the ink storage chamber, and a pressure regulation chamber, for regulating the pressure and with an ink absorbing material packed therein, is provided in the ink storage chamber. Accordingly, the increased pressure in the ink cartridge caused by the rapid change in temperature is instantly released to the pressure regulation chamber, to perform good printing without causing the ink leakage from the ink discharge port. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
