<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device, such as a projector, which is capable of performing an adequate communication setting depending on a situation, such as communication status. <P>SOLUTION: A projector 100 comprises: a reception unit 192 for receiving designation of a first SSID; a first determination unit 160 for performing a first determination which determines whether data including an SSID according with the first SSID is in scan list data 142 about an access point; a second determination unit 162 for performing a second determination which determines whether signal strength is good for the access point having an SSID according with the first SSID and whether the access point can provide high throughput, based on the scan list data 142, if a determination result of the first determination is true; and a setting unit 150 for performing a setting stressing communication speed to a radio communication unit 120 if a determination result of the second determination is true, and performing a setting stressing stability to the radio communication unit 120 if the determination result of the second determination is false. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
