<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control an operation of equipment without manpower. <P>SOLUTION: This equipment control device 10 is communicatably connected with a plurality of air conditioners 2 disposed in an office area, and a group of sensors such as a plurality of sensors 3 and an electric power measuring sensor 4 through a network N. A situation acquiring section 104 periodically stores information relating to the air conditioners 2 and results of measurements by the group of sensors such as the sensors 3 and the electric power measuring sensor 4 in correspondence with the time, in a situation storing section 105. A control rule adjustment section 110 compares the present situation stored in the situation storing section 105 with a target situation stored in a target storing section 108, and adjusts an operation rule stored in the control rule storing section 107 to achieve the target.
