<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remarkably improve the yield of shipment, even when the variation of material is generated in the longitudinal direction of a rolled product, by optimizing the part where the rolled product is cut off in the downstream stage. <P>SOLUTION: This quality control system is provided with: a rolling data collecting means 5 for collecting the rolling data during manufacturing the rolled product; a structure information sensor 6 for measuring the structure information of the rolled product; a mechanical property predicting means 16 for predicting the mechanical property of the rolled product; a material determining means 17 for determining the quality of the material of the rolled product by comparing the mechanical property predicted by the mechanical property predicting means 16 with the preset allowable range of the mechanical property and a recording means 8 by which the determined result of the material determining means 17 is recorded relating to a position information in the longitudinal direction of the rolled product.
