<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight unit capable of preventing damage caused by movements of a light guide plate, and a display device. <P>SOLUTION: The backlight unit includes a light-emitting element for emitting light, an optical member for guiding the light generated from the light-emitting element in a fixed direction, a lower chassis arranged at a back surface of the optical member so as to support the optical member, a support member, wherein a part of the support member comes in contact with the lower chassis, supporting a module where the light-emitting element is included, and a buffering member arranged between the back surface of the optical member and the lower chassis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
